A doula is a trained professional who assists a mother and her family during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. A doula provides physical, emotional, and informational support so the entire family can walk away from the birth feeling positive about their experience. 

Louisiana Birth's doulas attend home births, hospital births, and births at births centers in Baton Rouge, Hammond, Covington, Slidell, New Orleans and the surrounding areas. 



 

Doula Support $900

  • 2 Prenatal appointments to go over: birth planning, comfort measures, and what to expect postpartum
  • Access to our lending library
  • Available by phone & email throughout your pregnancy until 6 weeks postpartum 
  • On-call from 38 weeks until delivery
  • Full labor support
  • Use of essential oils during birth
  • 1 Postpartum follow-up
 

 

Planned Cesarean $550

  • 1 Prenatal appointment: birth planning and what to expect postpartum
  • Access to our lending library
  • Available by phone & email throughout your pregnancy until 6 weeks postpartum

Sibling Doula $900

Do you want your children to be there for your birth but you're worried about them getting scared, bored, or in the way? A sibling doula will be there to help your children understand what is happening in an age appropriate way. 

                                    

  • 2 Prenatal appointments so your kids can get to know their doula and feel comfortable with her
  • Access to our lending library
  • On-call from 38 weeks until delivery
  • Child support throughout the birth until 1 hour postpartum 
  • 1 Postpartum follow-up
 

 

Childbirth Education $150

2  Private Childbirth Education classes in the comfort of your home.

We will go over: the anatomy of pregnancy, the stages of labor, your partner's role in labor, newborn care, the postpartum period, and much more!
